PLAYING ON THE FIELD

Transcending Borders through Sport

Introduction:

Module 2 of Football Zajedno is where the rubber meets the road, where the skills acquired in Module 1 are put into action. It’s about using the power of football to foster intercultural competencies, promote diversity, and bring communities together.

(a) INTERNATIONAL & REGIONAL Youth Tournaments (20 events), year 1-4

Uniting Young Talent

Tournament Diversity:

Our aim is two-fold: First, we provide kids with the incredible opportunity to participate in selected European tournaments, where they play alongside peers from diverse backgrounds. These tournaments reflect our commitment to social inclusion and diversity. Second, we collaborate with local partner organizations, football clubs, and football schools to organize regional youth tournaments and youth exchanges in our partner countries.

Inclusive Standards:

These tournaments adhere to the developed Football Zajedno standards, emphasizing inclusivity and non-discrimination. We believe that every child should have the chance to play and thrive, regardless of their background.

(b) INTERCULTURAL YOUTH EXCHANGE – Girls Football Festival (4 events), year 1-4

Celebrating Diversity Through Play

Intercultural Exchange:

Our Girls Football Festival is a celebration of diversity and unity. Young girls from all partner countries come together in Austria for a three-day festival of fun, learning, and friendly competition. During the festival, participants and coaches engage in playful activities, represent their clubs in a tournament, explore the city of Vienna through educational programs, and participate in mixed-team training sessions led by international coaching tandems.

(c) FOOTBALL ZAJEDNO CAMP – Regional Camp for Coaches, Kids, and Youth (2 editions), year 1, 4

Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders

Camp Objectives:

The Football Zajedno Camp is designed to bring together our dedicated multipliers and participants from the project’s youth activities. It provides them with the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the project’s various activities. Over the course of 3-5 days, the camp offers workshops, football training sessions, small tournaments, and guided discussions, all led by our trained staff and workshop facilitators.
